UC in D.C. Fellows

The Center provides financial assistance to Berkeley undergraduate students who are accepted into the UC Washington Program (UCDC). The CCDE selects six students each year to receive fellowship support while they pursue full-time course-work and an internship in their selected field during a semester in Washington D.C.

“Student education and involvement are key to our mission,” says CCDE advisory board member Selma Meyerowitz. “Since 2010, the Center has sponsored over 60 undergraduates living in the nation’s capital. Our goal is to help students to experience the challenges and the rewards of a career in public service or non-profit organizations.” Through their affiliation with the Center, and through their experiences during their D.C. internships., students observe and report back on the political, ideological and cultural factors that generate conflict and what enables productive problem solving locally, nationally and globally.
